With respect to regulations, they are probably the Uber/Airbnb of space travel :)

Wanna know why it's fifty years of safety standards, not sixty and not forty?

Because fifty years is how long it has been since we have done anything meaningful with manned space flight. We went back to the shallow end of the pool.

It's time for a change.

That's a good point. Closing the loop probably did more for the advancement of space travel than anything else because it allows you to find out what almost failed.
