Why bother? It's a great general purpose organic computer that you can power with sugar and fit into a head...but there's no reason that some other solution to the problem might be arrived at that works along entirely different parameters. There's lots of evidence that brain design has some deep flaws, extreme limitations and severe compromises. Look at the crazy stacked, hemispherical design of mammal brains -- nonsense!
Besides, if we need a brain, there's literally trillions of them already all over the planet. In fact they're so common they're already commoditized, everybody has one!
