I don't understand why the state isn't setting this up themselves. If they want people to pay their tax they should make it easy by creating a Web API that computes the tax rate for (zip code, product category, amount)
I don't particularly want a new external service in my sales transaction, I certainly don't want it run by a monopoly, and I really really don't want it run by the government.
