I switched to Vultr years ago because they gave each VPS a proper IPv6 /64. DO was stuck on doing /128s at the time. I haven't yet looked back. At the time they also gave you 768MB RAM for $5 while DO had 512MB.
Pretty sure they still just give out a /128, and also silently drop outbound TCP connections on some ports over IPv6 (without documenting it)
Wtf. Why?
Well, the two undocumented blocked ports that I've found are ports 25 and port 587, for sending mail. They claim that this is how they control spam problems. But I can't really take them seriously after spending hours debugging this, only to find they're doing it on purpose.
yeah, it's somewhat a "hidden" treasure. No idea why they are not often mentioned or used in comparisons and such. The servers are great, the pricing is great and the UI is really nice.
Yup. To expand on that, I'd also consider online.net and Scaleway.com. Both are damn good.
