The big 5 tech companies are Apple, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, and Amazon.
Neither Apple nor Microsoft use Java.
Facebook uses PHP, Google uses a lot of languages but mostly C++ for Search. Amazon does seem to use a lot of Java.
