Often true, but this is a bad example:

"Tracks your every move" and "needs you to manually enter your location" aren't the only two options. You could have "summon a taxi" button that transmits your current location to a given service one time.
The crucial thing is that the user should have control of what they share with whom. That's what privacy means.
