It is focused entirely on what seemingly useful things are currently enabled by giving companies that engage in Internet tracking free rein with user's data. According to the author, the "price" you will have to pay for privacy is:

Welcome to capitalism. If it has a name it has a dollar sign. If it can be sold it will result in a race to the bottom until everything is exploited and sucked dry
