If a gang of white men rape a woman, it's front page news for a week, even if it was entirely made up (Tawana Brawley, Duke Lacrosse, UVA). That's ok though, because even if the facts in the particular case are wrong or entirely falsified, the narrative is what is important. We know that powerful white men exploit their privilege to take advantage of women.
If a gang of non-white men groom and rape hundreds or thousands of children, it's on page A14 of the New York Times, and treated as this random bad thing happening in Old Blighty that is not part of a larger pattern, not an organized thing, not something that could start happening here (and if it did it would be totally random and not connected to anything else).
To summarize my point: now that the Internet exists, it is far easier for people to find out what is really happening in cases like this. If you wonder why people don't believe things the elite media says, look no further than this story. People know they are being lied to; why would you trust someone on a topic when you know he's a liar on others?
