I looked at DRF for a CRUD site but it didn’t seem to add much over Django for HTML-based apps. Am I missing something?

Relatedly, I find working in Django much more sane than Rails, even though I am way more familiar with the latter. Maybe I don’t hate web dev completely :).

DRF is a framework for building a REST API. So, not helpful for an HTML based app that doesn't also require you to have a REST API.

HTML is for UIs (primarily for human consumption), DRF is for APIs (primarily for machine consumption).
