A man can be just as good at dealing with cultural issues related to gender. A man can have just as much experience in sorting out cultural issues as a women, unless I am missing something here.

So what you're saying is that both are on the receiving end of sexism because both are treated different on account of their gender.
So a man isnt going to experience the same problems that women experience, and vice versa. Which is why it is important to have a diversity of perspectives.
