Whether or not you agree with the company—I'm on the fence—, at the very most it was just not to her liking. If that's the way someone handles a situation that's simply disagreeable, I wouldn't want to work with them.
Winnipeg is a small town, literally and figuratively. I'll be surprised and disappointed if this helps her career.
On the other hand, I'll more carefully consider applying there in the future.
Edit: I don't agree with Skip. Poor choice. But still unprofessional to go off on them on Twitter.
Edit: None of this bodes well for the company and to be clear I think it's a dumb response on their part. But, they can do that. Its a damn good indication the company has key problems though. I think trying to shame and boycott them for this doesn't show strength of character.
