I'm pretty happy with it as well... although I swear several times a year I have to fiddle with stuff after updates. Even now, my ~/.cache/upstart/unity.7.log file fills up the disk every few days, and I can't catch what's doing it before it happens... so I just rm -rf ~/.cache every now and then. Since I'm unable to tail it, and don't have a thumb drive to fit a 90GB log file. And it seems to happen if it's in sleep (not off) and I turn off the tv/avr.
I'm actually considering switching my HTPC back to Windows, or trying Debian proper. I don't spend much time in unity there, mostly Kodi, and sometimes Chrome, but the DE matters little to me. I run Windows, mac, and linux (ubuntu unity) regularly.
Sorry for veering off into a rant... All around I actually do like Unity though.
