I thought my account had been flagged for being banned or something (for no reason?). Especially because at the time I double checked in an incognito window which still yielded a white bar.
I checked HN for deaths, github / blog for SOPA style protest, even reddit. I then assumed that there must have been a bug or my browser has cached CSS with any error.
