You can always ask on Expatriates Stack Exchange but I assume it wouldn't be easy. If you plan to work you're usually assumed to work for a local company.

You could probably pull it applying for a business visa and then registering as an enterpreneur (ИП) - but you should definitely ask for a qualified opinion.
