I have tried to start one from another alias (whoisfiring) but hacker news shadow banned me after my 2nd submission so I created this one. Unfortunately the latest thread didn't have many comments.

I want to say there was one of those I read a while back, covered which startups were shutting down, which were shrinking/changing direction, some larger businesses mixed in, etc.

Yep. thelayoff.com does... not exclusively tech, but very good source. The Oracle layoffs where rumored and discessed there months ago.
