I still haven't been able to register to Signal. It always fails with "error establishing connection with server". Does anyone want to suggest how I could get this working?

I believe it also has a voice call option. Have you tried that?
Yes, the problem is after. Step two is confirming the number (by SMS or phone call). Step three is "generating keys". Step four is registering to the server, and it always fails there.
