Iranian here, I completely agree. USA overthrown democratically elected secular government of Mosadegh, and right now I totally live in fucking shit show (created by fucking mullahs) just because of USA politicians thought of themselves as good people and we should intervene just because of our own interest in other countries destiny.They literally replaced Mosadegh with a fucking dictator who tortured people like animals. Give me fucking break.

We all know human right situation in Saudi Arabia , but who supports them? United States fucking government.

Give me fucking break dude. I am not that stupid to believe USA government is "good".they are as bad as other players. The only difference here is because of situation of domestic freedom they can not jail and tourture people as regular as their opponents do.

Me and people like me as new generation of Iranian people which does not gives fuck about Islam(generally the youth in Iran are secular, atheist. Even the religious ones are open minded-exlude a very small fraction) or other stupid traditions,yet I have to pay the price just because some fucking stupid politicians thought we should stop Mosadegh. What they are doing now? They literally cut medical export to Iran , for what? Because Iran was going to build nuclear weapon with medical stuff? It is fucking lie.

US Pols are responsible for the government setup and administrated by Iranians. Do tell.

I'm aware of a coup in 1979. I'm also aware that a government cannot last 5 years, much less 50, without popular support. The actions of Iran, in 2016, are the responsibility of Iranians.

By all means, join your fellow MEers by blaming the west, blaming everyone except for yourself for your own fate.

First of all where did you get those numbers? Have you done study? ( I know the answer , I give you the answer , no, those number is pure nonsense coming from your imaginary world) Have you been in middle East? Because there is a lot of regimes there which last more than maybe 20 years with killing and suppressing their own people.

You clearly don't know how politics works. Did most German agree with Hitler? Of course not. Most of them were just ordinary people forced to work for government, otherwise they would have been killed or tortured. Did most American agreed to Vietnam war? Iraq war? Or did they agreed with Prism?

It is simple fact, middle class (most of people) don't care about politics as long as they have minimum standard of living. You can get them to do everything if you leverage their income and security.They would believe to everything as long as you give them food and place.

You are ignoring mine. Never taking responsibility means things will never get better in Iran. It's the conservatives that blame the US so they can keep control, it's the reformists that realize it's Iranians that will make change, and that can't happen until their admit they are in charge of their own fate.

Wrong. North Korea is the longest standing "authoritarian" state, and they are barely surviving. Their days are numbered.

I live in the ME, and the refusal of anyone to look at themselves in the mirror when discussing the very real problems in their society is universal. Everything is a conspiracy, nothing is their fault.

You aren't wrong in saying the west has been a negative influence in the region for peace and stability, but they are not in control anymore. Iran is a mess b/c of the fundamentalism at the core of Iranian society.

when you overthrow a democratically elected government that would have been stable but for your participation... then yes; you are responsible for what happens even if you didn't directly make the decisions during that time.

For how long, give a number of years. Forever?

and how does embracing this help Iranians? It only serves to excuse why things never get better, and offers no solution
