If this is the FairPixels team, they are awesome. I would be interested in perhaps a rebrand for a product line we are developing, if you are up for it.
While the parent is a little terse, I do think that having your own domain would certainly help your professional image. This is a generous offer- I hope someone takes you up on it.

The quality of the "gift" is suspect if they cant be bothered to first create a brand for themselves.
To me, the amount of work supervising a rebranding entails appears non-trivial. Likewise the costs of an unsuccessful rebranding may be substantial. Which is to say that outside consultant fee waivers do not reduce the cost to near zero.
