That's why I love the Reader View feature in Firefox. I use it all the time, even at sites with good UX/UI practices.

On an iPhone the window for the article is about a half inch high and there was no obvious way to make it bigger.

I closed the tab then later reloaded the page and it completely blocked it saying I needed to login to view it.

Clearing cookies fixed it, but wow.

I can attest that reading it with js disabled is a much better expietence
