Headline is a blatant lie. Article is a self-advertisement for a system that promotes ongoing performance reviews instead of a single annual review.
This isn't even submarine, this is sailboat PR.
I was hoping this was an article about how Adobe has found a great new way to engage their employees - but it's really just a press release from Impraise
(TLDR version: $7/employee/month)
Oh, that makes sense, haha. While reading it I was like "why is this journalist so blindly positive about this new system?"
I read your comment sa "enrage their employees." I wonder how this went over internally. After all, involuntary attrition increased 50%.
Accenture also got rid of annual performance reviews and rankings recently[1].
Seems they're also confusing stack ranking with rank-and-yank (a subset of stack ranking), which is odd, given that the article is clearly sponsored by a company with expertise in the field. (Or, given that they can't differentiate between the two practices, perhaps not...)
I wonder, did they fire the HR person responsible for the performance review system?
