My side projects have opened a lot of doors for me, particularly they have enabled career switches. I'm a B2C product manager, was interested in moving to B2B and was ignored until I launched a small SaaS side project (B2B vs B2C PM is considered quite different.)
But the theme of this article is true, recruiters don't care and you should focus on enjoyable side projects.
The benefits you get are really just delivery of in-store items to your house, it seems your walmart.com experience doesn't change much. Based on what I've seen on Amazon fresh, you'd probably make up your $98 pretty quick if you moved all your grocery shopping from fresh to WM+.
For 1, what are your alternatives in your local market or remote positions (next best alternative). For 2, if they just fired you instead and then opened up the position to anyone anywhere, what would they have to pay?
Also, yes, I have moved from a low cost of living area to a high cost of living area and got a pay adjustment. It is standard to increase pay for those moves (they they are not always approved though)
We finally decided to send our toddler back to daycare last week. She is an only child who loves playing with other kids and we felt the health risks were small compared to the social development and mental health impact.
I would say life now feels much more like a normal WFH situation. On reflection however, I realized my exhaustion prevented me from appreciating how much quality time I spent with my daughter, how much we were able to go outside and play every day, etc. Not looking to go back to that, but I would say just try to find time to take a deep breath, think about the good things that happened today, and give yourself a break on the compromises you had to make as a parent, spouse, or employee.
Anyways, as someone who spends a lot of time panning a laptop or iPad to track a toddler who is FaceTiming grandma, this device solves an important problem for us.
However, if you look at Uber, if you removed driver labor cost from my fare, does each ride now become 60-80% cheaper?

For the DB, you could then use RDS, a managed postgres service, looks like it supports Postgis: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/Appen...
