5 arlos here and I love the hardware but the software is so bad and unreliable, especially mobile that I regret going this direction. I'd probably go with unfi if I did it all over.
I was skeptical that apple was doing it for positive privacy publicity in the SB case and it continues to be the case. Many well meaning people think they have their back as a result. The illusion of security is worse than no security, etc etc
Yep this. It's also standard operating procedure among Bay Area tech. They're great at feel good marketing but when it comes down to actions it's all about numero uno.
If you're getting to the interview stage and that's where things go wrong, go through a practice interview with a friend who can be honest and I think it will be obvious to them what's going on. I can't pinpoint it from this but it sounds like it could be behavioral.
