wtt604··on External GPUs and the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4
You can use a movidius NCS with a pi, not at its full potential but it certainly works. Use a usb extender to save your usb port access.
wtt604··on Erik Prince's Private Wars
He's had a "dollop" and a "behind the bastards" done about him. I'd recommend listening to both. The Oxford union with Mehdi Hassan was also entertaining
wtt604··on Search on GitHub for “RIAA” shows results of the takedown of YouTube-dl
I like how it is almost 2021 and the RIAA is still spending money going after a command line executable, geez even Napster had a gui.
wtt604··on Micro Men (2009)
This is a great dramatisation of the 80s, it is well worth a watch
wtt604··on The Console That Wasn't: The SuperGrafx-CD
The PC Engine was one of the best consoles, it really should have had more of a following. I still have one (nodded for PAL) stored away that I really need to get out and start using again
wtt604··on Pi-hole: Ad-blocking DNS Server for home network
I'm running it on a pi1B ethernetted to my router and it always amazes me when I'm on someone else's wifi or my lte connection.

It also does a good job of blocking pr0n if you're looking for that too

wtt604··on Ask HN: What RSS Reader do you use?
Can we start a petition for google to open source google reader? I LOVED that software!
wtt604··on Ask HN: What RSS Reader do you use?
It's great for podcasts, but other RSS stuff works fine too?
wtt604··on Thoughts About Mario on Super Mario’s 35th Anniversary
I absolutely loved it when I played it as a teen when it came out, and I still love it. I could still play it all day, it has been bettered, but it's still a work of absolute genius and... the clouds are the bushes, WTF!!!! I think it took me a good 35-30 years to realise that! Miyamoto is an absolute legend! Koji Kondos music and sounds are also incredible. They are my ringtone and various message notifications on this octacore phone that I'm typing on right now!
wtt604··on The Polygons of Doom: PSX
Bookmarked and I will visit later. Thank you!
wtt604··on The Polygons of Doom: PSX
This entire website is fantastic. There is so much detail to be had and the articles are very readable.
wtt604··on ‘My Boss Wants Us on Zoom All Day Long’
I look forward to the first github link for how to redirect a video clip to a zoom meeting
wtt604··on Sir David Attenborough Breaks Jennifer Aniston's Instagram Record
I was terrified to see that he was trending, I was delighted that it was for this. He is a national (should be international) treasure
wtt604··on Facebook says it may quit Europe over ban on sharing data with US
Has ABBA ever covered "Sunshine, lollipop, rainbows everywhere"?
wtt604··on Apple customers can now buy or rent titles directly in the Prime Video app
When techcrunch says "buy" do they really mean the the apple customer actually OWNS one? Or has that business model completely gone?
wtt604··on How do you guys nowadays find cool things online?
Honestly, there's a lot of cool stuff on here. Other than that, twitter responses from people you're interested in
wtt604··on As the FAA finalizes the 737 Max’s return, is Boeing’s jet now safe?
You would hope that Boeing has went into excruciating detail about explaining how it happened before and exactly how they have fixed and verified that it cannot happen again and that they have not broken anything that was working in the previous version.

You would hope!

wtt604··on Ask HN: Will Covid encourage a once in a lifetime creativity surge from WFH?
It will encourage lots of things, many good and probably many bad as well. It's certainly going to shake things up. I just wish I knew what direction it would go in.
wtt604··on Nintendo brings Mario Kart into the real world with AR RC cars
I don't know if I'm the only one that has this reaction, but if I'm ever driving and eating a banana, I throw the peel out of the window and look behind me to see if anyone spins out.
wtt604··on Ask HN: How to learn Computer Architecture design?
Look at fabien sanglards website.

https://fabiensanglard.net/ he talks very informatively about a lot of different computer stuff. A lot from the 16 bit era. I would imagine you'd fine it interesting and informative

wtt604··on Ask HN: What is the true death rate from Covid 19?
In the same way that people kept dying after 9/11 from all sorts of cancers from concrete dust etc, we won't know this figure for decades, certainly until all longterm complications are known.

Do you count people whose lungs are at 70% then die of respiratory complications?

wtt604··on Who hoarded all the toilet paper?
Back in March when all this insanity was starting we ran out of dish soap. It took me three shops to find some. I bought one bottle and still have about an inch left in the bottle. People went insane!
wtt604··on Ask HN: How can I prevent myself from being doxxed?
Start new accounts with no reference to your old ones, your name or your location. Be careful about what you put online publicly. I think most people would be horrified at what the likes of Facebook, amazon or google knows about them.
wtt604··on Pilots test giant 'mech' exoskeleton at B.C. training ground [video]
I'll keep an eye out on my next drive to Whistler!
wtt604··on Ask HN: What are your favorite personal blogs?
https://fabiensanglard.net/ it is tech, but it is fantastic tech, tons of amiga stuff that takes me back to earlier, simpler time. I'd recommend a browse through the titles, at least. I'd be shocked if this crowd didn't love it.
wtt604··on Statement on Cancellation of Election Security Briefings
I'm not an American, but if I was, I think I'd have my pitchfork ready!
wtt604··on Rejected from an interview because first name is too short for internal IT
2020 at last has an issue just affecting one person, that we know of! This is insane, but so 2020
wtt604··on Study: Lockdowns and Mask Mandates Don't Reduce Covid Transmission Rates
I feel like a bus driver could drive a bus through these "facts" honestly, 25 deaths in a 'region'??? Did they look at NY????
wtt604··on Why is the media suppressing information on Hydroxychloroquine’s effectiveness?
51 studies show good results. How many show bad results?

Drs in Brazil gave large doses... of what size???

Veterans with preexisting conditions, ok, so if it doesn't do any good for people with preexisting conditions, then what good is it?? This kind of selective BS is incredibly bad, always and especially right now!

wtt604··on Ask HN: What is Scotland's food culture like?
Unhealthy but delicious!
