witrak··on ICANN's rejection of Ukraine's request to sever Russia from the internet [pdf]
Would you name some of these? I mean related to the subject...
witrak··on Putin’s Strategic Failure and the Risk of Escalation
> And Ukraine is also in a civil war since 2014

Well, a "civil war" inspired, organized, and supported by "peace-loving" neighboring country, which now tries to "peacefully" topple democratic government just to finish up the job.

witrak··on Putin’s Strategic Failure and the Risk of Escalation
This part o the discussion is not on facts but opinions. You seem to allow guilhas to express highly arguable opinions but at the same time don't allow a (no less justified) opinion about guilhas.
witrak··on Russia to restrict Facebook access for 'censoring' its media
Did you see what's going on r/Russia? You can be banned not for your comment there but for the fact you are on another subreddit. No, not for your comment there! It's enough that others are against the Russian invasion.
witrak··on Russia to restrict Facebook access for 'censoring' its media
>> We have a bounty of evidence that WeChat is heavily monitored and censored.

> Amazing. All social media is heavily monitored and censored everywhere. We can argue degrees but it's all censored.

Well, similarly we could argue is a real difference between firecrackers and thousand pounds bombs.

witrak··on Russia to restrict Facebook access for 'censoring' its media
You seem to believe strongly that the fact that you are Russian makes your opinion of what Russians think (or not think) absolutely true.
witrak··on Is Grammarly a keylogger? What can you do about it?
I think you skip the case when both communicating parties are not native speakers which is probably much more often case than when at least one side knows English well. And risk related to a misunderstanding caused by breaking grammar rules is much higher.
witrak··on Transmissibility of SARS-CoV-2 among fully vaccinated individuals
Disregarding the correctness of its thesis article will be used by opponents of vaccinations.
witrak··on Phone number has been used too many times
Why they are not satisfied with a year of birth then?
witrak··on Entropy isn't sufficient to measure password strength
> It’s completely valid to distrust password managers.

Is it, really? And at the same time to trust one's memory? For memorizing hundreds of long passwords? Don't think so...

witrak··on Firefox Privacy – The Complete How-To Guide for 2022
I just started my Brave browser adventure. While it has more explicit controls for many privacy-related settings still how-to guide is something highly recommended.
witrak··on Copyright doesn't need 95 years to get the job done
AFAIK the European model is not as similar as you seem to be convinced. And the origin of copyright was from the beginning related not to the well-being of authors but rather publishers.
witrak··on An UPDATE without a WHERE, or something close to it
I think you misunderstood the previous comment. I think that firstly "ls /path" is entered and if the result is ok, then "; rm $_" is added to the copy of the command then executed.
witrak··on Using novels to predict the next war
"Six Days of the Condor" by James Grady (1974) contains a very similar concept of extracting important predictions from literature.
witrak··on AWS Frankfurt incident
> So the proper procedure is to let the professionals handle it (wait for the fire department to clear the building).

Nevertheless, having breathing gear could allow beginning recovery action just after the fire department finished procedures. This would shorten recovery time.

witrak··on Overcoming Tab Overload
I keep open 200 and more tabs, especially when I can't finish a job before I start or continue another one. It's a matter of efficiency - closing a group of tabs found after painful and time-consuming research is unreasonable IMO. To find a specific tab after a day or two I use the tabFX Firefox extension. It allows searching for the tab containing keywords in the title/URL or tabs similar to the selected one. Also allows closing tabs directly from the search result list. Extremely useful.
witrak··on Italy's Coronavirus Lockdown Upends the Most Basic Routines and Joys
The really good analysis: https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-act-today-or-peop...
witrak··on Gitlab cancels plan on tracking user behavior on GitLab.com
Are you sure that American companies are immune to fines resulting from EU court sentences if they want to make business in EU?
witrak··on 20,000 Startup Ideas
Very good idea, as big plague is coming...
witrak··on Stop Infinite Scrolling
Highly biased opinions... What about articles where access to all parts is needed, like scientific articles, manuals, reports, etc? And for the general public too, at least part of readers are able to concentrate on reading much longer than thru a couple of paragraphs.
