I have a framework and love it - repair-ability is exceptionally important to me, and I support it as often as I can.

That being said, I have a really specific use-case I have to fill right now: I travel all the time for work, and my work laptop already takes up a good amount of space, so I need something small and easy to use when I travel

What options do you see available on the market today that meet those needs? I agree that all of those are super nice to have

widowlark··on The FAA’s Hiring Scandal
You offer more and better training for everyone. It's not the job of the organization itself to enable their success - just offer a fair test. Others, like the organization mentioned in this article, can and should focus on specific constituent representation. However, the goal of getting more of a specific group into an organization is NOT more important than the safety and efficacy of the organization.

more isnt the problem. or its not the first problem.

>predictions suggested only 3% of black applicants would pass.

Thats not '3% of the applicants are black'. It's '3% of black applicants pass the test'

Starting there alone would yield meaningful results - at the end of the day, you gotta pass the test. Changing the test so more people pass is illogical and dangerous.

widowlark··on The FAA’s Hiring Scandal
By helping to make them qualified to pass the tests.

widowlark··on Why so many families are "drowning in toys"
I own an Analogue Pocket, which is an FPGA system for the gameboy color (and more). I have found that by forcing myself to just play the inserted cartridge instead of games loaded on the the memory card, I have a high attention span for the game and can play for longer periods.

widowlark··on Amazon reveals first color Kindle, new Kindle Scribe, and more
megacorp set an arbitrary price for this, and you think the consumer is at fault?
widowlark··on Amazon reveals first color Kindle, new Kindle Scribe, and more
I can confirm that the new versions have to be placed in a child mode in order to hide the ads. It seems they have closed this admittedly nice loophole
