I think at some point defeating this becomes impossible. This sort of cheating isn't much different conceptually from just having someone who's really good at the game play for you.
It doesn't even seem very hard to implement, steam already has the ability to stream games, they could add this pretty easily as an option for any game (although there is the concern of the extra cost of running the servers).
It's much harder to cheat if the game isn't running on your computer.
1. It's grown using bacteria, which are much faster to reproduce and cultivate than animal cells. 2. The intended products are a homogeneous mixture, which means you don't need to worry as much about texture
I tried "The Hobbit" and it started with me having tea with Gandalf the wizard. There was a knock at the front door so I opened it and outside was Gandalf the wizard!
It seems like then it would be legal to draw a gun without firing if it was in self defense? I have a hard time believing that there are any cases where shooting someone in self defense would be legal, but scaring them away wouldn't.
If someone is going to attack me with a knife, but then I draw a gun and they run away, surely that's not illegal because I didn't shoot them.
I love vegetables and grains too. Tofu and lentils etc. are delicious but sometimes I just want a burger.
Unless they have a lot of knowledge in electrical engineering/optics, the average user of this isn't going to understand how the camera or projector work except at a very high level.
I feel like the problem with LLMs here is more that they are not very predictable in their output and can fail in unexpected ways that are hard to resolve. You can rely on the camera to output some bits corresponding to whatever you're pointing it at even if you don't know anything about its internals.
I'm reading more about the "OS" Realtalk
>Some operating system engineers might not call Realtalk an operating system, because it’s currently bootstrapped on a kernel which is not (yet) in Realtalk.
You definitely couldn't fit the code for an LLM on the wall, so that makes sense. But I still have so many questions.
Are they really intending to have a whole kernel written down? How does this work in practice? If you make a change to Realtalk which breaks it, how do you fix it? Do you need a backup version of it running somewhere? You can't boot a computer from paper (unless you're using punch cards or something) so at some level it must exist in a solely digital format, right?
Under visibility they say:
>To empower people to understand and have full agency over the systems they are involved in, we aim for a computing system that is fully visible and understandable top-to-bottom — as simple, transparent, trustable, and non-magical as possible
But the programming behind the projector-camera system feels like it would be pretty impenetrable to the average person, right? What is so different about AI?
You can read the statement from the FDA where they banned red dye 3, it's very short. [1] Here's a relevant quote:
>claims that the use of FD&C Red No. 3 in food and in ingested drugs puts people at risk are not supported by the available scientific information.

Ugh, I don't want to get raging drunk on a bar crawl, I just want to be able to sip a beer that I brought from my house as I walk down the street.
There's plenty of research done on things which can't be patented or used to turn a profit in some way. People do research on diet, exercise, vitamins, and pharmaceuticals which are now generic like aspirin etc. just to name a few off the top of my head.
There's also public funding available for research which isn't intended to make money for any particular corporation.
Why does it need to be one or the other? It's definitely true that the US has higher greenhouse gas emissions per person than most other places. Shouldn't we focus on reducing emissions anywhere we can?
I've spoken to lots of Americans who are under the false impression that food miles are the most important factor when it comes to sustainable food, this article makes the case that it's actually meat.
I think it's reasonable to say people should eat less meat (especially in the US) and we should also reduce emissions from transportation and energy.
I get that copyright is a bit of a minefield, and there's some clear cases that should not be allowed, e.g. taking photos of a painting and selling them
That said, I still get the impression that the laws are way too broad and there would be little harm if we reduced their scope. I think we should be allowed to post pictures of Pokemon toys to Wikipedia for example.
I'm willing to listen to other points of view if people want to share though
If e.g. Patreon hosts an artist who will draw a picture of Indiana Jones for me on commission, then my money is going to both Patreon and the artist. Should Patreon also police their artists to prevent reproducing any copyrighted characters?
If I ask an artist to draw me a picture of Indiana Jones and they do it would that be copyright infringement? Even if it's just for my personal use?
I don't think it's possible to create an "alien which has acid for blood and a small sharp mouth within a bigger mouth" without anybody seeing a connection to Alien, even if it doesn't look anything like the original.
>Disadvantages
>Weight: a bus which can carry 20 persons and has a range of 2 km (1.2 mi) requires a flywheel weighing about 3 tons.
>The flywheel, which turns at 3000 revolutions per minute, requires special attachment and security—because the external speed of the disk is 900 km/h (560 mph).
It's truly a mystery why they never caught on
>If you've been following along, you may have concluded that you should be brewing up a batch of bitter, spicy, slightly sweet tea the next time you serve as designated driver. Gross.
>But, there's no need to do that.
Ok, so what do I actually do lol?
I think this advice is useful for mixed drinks which already have a lot of flavorful non-alcoholic ingredients like a bloody mary, but I doubt anybody is going to come up with a good substitute for a dry martini any time soon.
I sympathize with the ATC workers though. It's ridiculous that they can't pay them a decent wage for the area, there's only two of them as far as I know.
That would be the ideal way if it worked though
One thing I just thought to try is using an app on my phone to send the WOL packet.
This doesn't feel very optimal though. Having a whole other device constantly running just to wake up my main device feels like a waste.
We asked her about it afterwards, turns out they just like being petted :). Eventually got to try it out ourselves on another dive, fish can be really friendly.
