Right. And RCTs not showing things than can be seen in larger observational studies seems plausibly related to the problems with RCTs, for instance statistical power being generally lower because n sizes are lower, attrition is an issue, etc… I want to believe the research though, especially since I like most smart people are going to get the Shingrix shot anyway.

Apropos systems collapse, a recent theme here on HN it seems, perhaps being meme’d a bit to highlight the dangers, in systems thinking terms, of hyper-interconnected globalized system of trade. Or to explain Theil’s move to Argentina. Maybe Tech oligarchs are the new ship peoples?

Wild bad luck. Polio and despite vaccination she got Covid not once but twice and died of sequelei! And recently married. That is like lightening striking, again and again and again and again.
warshinder··on Sen. Lindsey Graham dead at 71 after 'brief and sudden' illness, office says
He certainly had a number of very vocal detractors, many it seems were upset by his friendship with John McCain, but it’s always sad when someone so young (for our senate) dies unexpectedly. I really hope it wasn’t Ebola.
