Thanks.
Good luck trying to get your business (startup or else) in France for example.
EMEA? APAC? I guess both, and it'd be nice in Europe.
There you go.
That'd be a really interesting challenge to have to keep your speech in a fast paced yet balanced and clutter free fashion.
Data is facts, it's not opinionated.
Metrics, on the other hands are built upon data but are often carrying an agenda with them, they're political (whether it's office or nation politics) tools.
Our Fizzbuzz equivalent would be to mess with some HTML / JS and ask the interviewee to spot what's the issue. Or playing with a spreadsheet software to highlight stuff (pivot table, filters, duplicates, whatnot).
Let's not fool ourselves here, we might be friends we're not family though. I'd rather 'trust' an EU company with my data than a US one.
Hopefully that economic punishment might be enough to wake up your high ups, but if not it's still good for us.
We can't let you have all the fun in one place.
FOSS needs more of this kind.
Relying on an other business (platform, as a customer, [...]) for more than 25% (33, 50 your call)of your revenue is risky no matter the industry.
Relying a 100% is stupid.
It's really something cultural I guess but I can only feel the same way as you do.
Hugs As A Real Person.
Did I misread that ? If not, it's just insane.
Oh and seriously, they have a lot of nerve.
The question is whether HN can be considered a group or a small mass =)
Plus you have to keep in mind the average pov will be biased in a different way than let's say marketing101.net.
The success story ? The happy ending ?
I don't trust any government, but I don't trust my group of fellows citizens either. Check out Gustave LeBon :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Crowd:_A_Study_of_the_Popul...
(Exaggerated obviously, you get the point)
Regarding your point on distros, I think it is, excuse me, a bit off : while you certainly are an advanced Linux user, you need to keep in mind most of the computer userbase will certainly not be as confident as you to install tricky packages in CLI .
The UI is there to ease your work, not to hinder you, especially when you are part of the 90% of users which consider a computer as nothing but a tool.
Each has its own pros and cons.
And yes, your comment sounds really condescending : "masses, ignorant".
And as another user said, if your employees need to continuously do some overtime, there's a bigger issue underlying.
Any plan to release a way to export the drawing in a json object (or any other data structure) ?
Props to you anyway.
