+1 for Tutanota I never experienced any issue with any type of usage. (Using it with own domain.)

Every comments talk about what you guys do, or do not do on your computer/phone. I have another aspect too: I avoid under any circumstances to buy or use “smart” things. The fridge, the heating thermostat, the bathroom scale, the vacuum, the running shoes, the bike computer is all a huge privacy risk, if they are connected to the internet. Maybe bigger than anything on your computer. Keep theese guys offline!

Not popular opinion: I see no app here, but I nly an email address collecting webpage that needed one hour effort to create. If you have something, publish at least a working demo.

May I ask you: you look for better in which perspectives? I switched to Sublime Text approximately 6 years ago. All of my team mates used ST as well. Recently they all switched to PHP Storm, VSCode, even Emacs. (I don´t really know their motivation.)

Today I am the only fossil at the company with ST. Instead of looking for a "better" one, I made ST better for me, installing the right packages, syntax color schemes, creating snippets. Now I have a fully functional IDE, including Terminal, linters, file manager, git client and so on.

That tracking pixel thing. (Actually this even has benefits: it is used for a delivered/read status tracking.) And when our team-mates started using Spark, I found their UI more clear, than Spike. I have nothing else against Spike.

I recently used Spike (https://www.spikenow.com/), both desktop and mobile app. The I switched to Spark. Its probably not easy without mouse. And I also did not like the function that they automatically includes a tracking pixel to the mails. Anyways you may take a look.

BTW for private mails I use paid version of Tutanota with own domain, because of privacy aspects.

You already had a talk about the issues you experienced and it was getting even worse. I can’t see any reason why you should wait.

After discussing it many times, I am still sceptical if EU should "hardcode" in the law mandatory use of an old technology. Seeing the USB connection history (e.g. https://gct.co/usb-connector/usb-history-timeline) it is surely the incumbrance of the future developments.

Haha, I count this as a very good parallelism, as I had close connection to construction workers. Seweage pipelining can be done by multiple ways. There are ones which will clog in shorter or longer time. There are ones which made up by more parts than really needed. And there are perfectly goods which also obey all standards. Will the third one write a blog as "how to great plumbing"? Or just will say: "I know plumbing"?

1) Devs doesn´t even need to think like architects. You (or the project manager, project owner, whatever) must provide a (good) specification.

2) You can also bring general standards into practice. But do not try to solve everything at once.

3) Leave code review comments on a helpful way. There are some good articles, how to mastering that.

4) Force they to refactor, and leave time for that. You can sit together with the developer, and refactor one part of his/her code. Next time sit together again, and let him/her to refactor. Next time just let him/her to do that, and review code.
