One of my pet peeves is people using the letter "u" to mean micro. Its a greek letter mu, "μ", and seeing as the entire thing is capitalised here, it could also be "Μ" (uppercase greek mu, not uppercase latin M)
CNC is CNC, if you can put an attachment on it, it'll probably work. If you replace the hotend with a router and make the extrusion wires turn the router on and off, you have a CNC router. If you use a swivel knife, you have a vinyl cutter
I believe there have been camera specifically designed for this, where they have multiple horizontally spaced lenses that all take a picture at the same time, or literally just holding several cameras right next to each other and triggering them all at once
and hopefully I never have to work with you if you think that every single second must be spent coding, no seconds allowed for stuff to process in the background when you save a file
Do you generally pylint an entire codebase at once though? Why not just the file you are actually working on? Based on the homeassistant results (10.3 hours to lint 17.5k files), it only takes about 2 seconds to pylint a file, which doesn't really feel like enough of a wait to need an entirely new linter
The font is definitely... unique, too. I thought it was going to build up to that font being the ascii art one, but that one looks much more pleasant to read than what the article is actually written in
I believe before the "name" attribute is set, the name in the dialog is "barista", but once it has a "name", it displays as that instead. Technically, no, the barista didn't have a name until that selection was chosen
I think carpenters might cry if a company went around shoving every single piece of carpentry they could find into a machine, and then when you press a button on that machine, a chair comes out, and then they go around saying that this machine will replace carpenters forever, and they made this machine with no help from other carpenters, and furniture makers all went "who needs carpenters anymore, lets just use the chair machine"
I wonder how much is actually needed to create an automated rubber duck. How well would ELIZA work? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELIZA) (might need some adjustment to not talk like a therapist, but you get the idea)
I've done a couple on a debit card and it's gone pretty smoothly. I paid around £200 for an online service who they effectively ghosted me, so I submitted a chargeback to my bank, and they said they'd get in contact with the provider. I never heard back about it other than getting my money so I'm guessing they ghosted my bank too
Maybe if marketing people stopped using the incredibly generic term "AI", and started actually saying what something is, it might work better. When you say "this app is powered by AI", do you mean Skynet, an LLM, or a basic machine learning system?
Is that little computer training LLMs from scratch all by itself? That must take years to get any kind of progress, given the scale of training other providers do. Where do you get the training data from?
I watched the whole thing, and I think it sort of went off the rails over time, probably to keep upping the ante. I think you're fine just watching the first season
I'm guessing the website is currently being hugged to death, but the images take a while to load, and I'm on a pretty good connection. Maybe try webp with some decent compression to shrink down the filesize?
If you click the little "vibeSwitch" text in the bottom left, then click the small toggle in the bottom right of the popup window, you can turn off the animated background, and the website runs a hell of a lot better, on my browser at least
That's pretty much what I was thinking too. "A way to create an image, with parts that can be edited using tags, that an LLM can deal with... this sounds like SVG"
