There’s also some logic involved in making sure the user only sees the layers with new data in it. That’s running on the client and it’s quite heavy.

I do feel like there's less wind here in the Netherlands than before. But maybe that's just my personal experience after moving to a larger city.

I particularly liked the heatmap with monthly temperature data since the 1900s. It's a lot of scrolling, but you can clearly see that climate is accelerating since the '90s.
Quick feedback on the website: The left side of the components preview pages falls off the left side of my screen (Chrome, 13'' Mac).
If these long distance cables really can transport energy efficiently it might solve some of the challenges with renewables!
But it also makes me kinda sad that none of the mentioned examples properly work on mobile. If even big web companies can't pull that off, is it impossible? (Mainly thinking about Gmail and Google Docs here). Or have we given up on web applications on mobile?
