- bonus if it works with OBS studio
- first of all top tier work there, lets say i want to build something like this from scratch, what does the first few steps and requirements look like
- mind ya, i have no plans of making anything competing. i dont even use photoshop. what I am curious about is how to make a large software project like this
- what do your requirements on day 0 look like? do you try to open every feature in photoshop and note it down on paper?
- obviously anyone can code a discord clone, instagram clone or whatever
- how do you solve the 3 body problem? you need people and their people and their people on the platform to use the platform
- how do you go about getting the 1st 1000 people for something like this?
- what is your obsession with XMPP?
- why are half the posts on your blog about XMPP?
- are all circles supposed to be one inside another?
- is each circle always going to rotate around the bigger circle?
- I am sorry to say this but "here is our new model XYZ with benchmarks ABC" is only interesting the first 65535 times you read it. after that my mind overflows
- how do you actually go about reading one of these IEEE or arxiv papers?
- do you read only the abstract for most?
- do you read everything in 1 scan and what do you about references? do you follow through all the references?
- do you ask a GPT to help explain? what does your prompt look like?

- isnt everyone else just an immigrant?
- sure its good to ask AI feedback about your module or code review or identify vulnerabilities or better ways of doing your existing code
- but maybe stop asking AI to generate entire projects from scratch?
- can someone skilled and passionate look into doing some of the older ubi titles?
- like maybe rainbow six vegas 1/2 or
- splinter cell games?
- I added this to my HN collection of s-tier stuff https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49183198
- i see this phrase everywhere but i dont know what it means
- one of my latest ideas was to handle spam calls on my android phone
- the way i wanted to do this is to have an app pick up the phone call automatically everytime and ask a bunch of user defined questions
- for example, caller: hi i am angel from XYZ spam company
- audio streams through the app with an LLM processing every word and it asks back "who are you trying to reach?"
- caller doesnt answer in 30 seconds or wrong answer. call dropped automatically and the phone is not even ringing yet
- caller says ABC and the autoresponder immediately asks the next question
- "what is the password to reach abc"
- caller doesnt answer or gives incorrect answer within 30 seconds and call is dropped immediately
- caller gives correct answer and now the phone starts ringing
- obviously the questions are set by the user and it ll change from user to user
- imagine by biggest disappointment when I found out from the r/androiddev group that the permission to actually audio process a phone call is simply not available unless you root your android phone. Its a no-go even on the iphone
- Even if you do root the phone, I haven't gotten a conclusive answer from anyone either on reddit or even here on HN so far on the feasibility of implementing such a feature
- Thank god I did not burn 100 hrs into this
- i want to record my voice for gaming sessions but i have a horrible voice
- i want to speak and convert my voice in real time to one of the good quality AI voices out there
- bonus points if it can be an OBS plugin. even if such a plugin doesnt exist I am happy to code one
- anyone got any recommendations for a library that solves this issue? most of the whisper and other stuff out there is non real time and I am looking for something open source
