Changelog:

- Updated design.

- Ability to see how many users are near by.

- Removed some features from previous version as it is not alligned with the idea of this app.

- Hid the rarely used features to give more focus on the nearby feed. (You gotta find them to use them).

- Smaller & cooler domain name :)

I don't think we can prevent horrible anonymous comments. Thats the truth.

Even Twitter & Facebook are fighting this even though they are not anonymous apps.

That would defeat the purpose of the whole hyperlocal apps.

Running is cost is negligible. - Paying for the domain (19$/yr). - Using Zeit now's free plan for hosting. - Very low load on the server as it is P2P. - No database.

Jitsi Meet does not work in mobile without downloading their app, but this one does. Just open the URL and it just works from the browser.

Yes currently desktop sharing is only available in Chrome. I am planning to enable it only for the supported browsers soon, as I don't want anyone to download a plugin for this purpose.

Its 2018, WebRTC is natively supported in all desktop & mobile browsers but still most major players (Hangouts, Skype, Appear.in etc) ask you to download their app to use the service.

Nice suggestion.

"Here" is 1 kilometer. If we allow to change the distance the purpose of the app itself will be change. The purpose is to be always in location context, if the user enter a distance of 1000KM then it becomes more like twitter.

I thought of this issue. No plans to address this now. Geofence could be a good solution though.

Thanks for this suggestion, will consider adding this. BTW, We don't use location from ISP, we get location form GPS. So it will be more accurate than getting from ISP.

Yes but unless they both are in same room. Imagine a soccer match or any tech event. These are some use cases I thought of while building this.

We just launched this today. Though it is a bad idea to roll out globally for this idea. I did want to spread the word and then target area wise. Not sure if it is gonna work.
