Does anyone know where one could find (if YC's published the stat) of the median/average age for the founders of the companies worth > $1 billion and $100 million?
"Learn Python the Hard Way" is what I'm using now and it's been pretty awesome at making me figure out where my scripts/programs went wrong so I can fix them myself and learn from my mistakes. They also have a bunch of other languages such as Ruby if Python isn't your thing.
"How To Lie With Statistics" by Darrell Huff. It's a pretty old book (1954). But it talks about the most common uses of statistics in everyday life (marketing reasearch and infographics showing extrapolating trends inaccurately) and how the results are often gathered carelessly.
