upmostly··on Show HN: GrammarDaily – daily bite-sized grammar lessons
It's great. Some feedback:

The explanations of wrong answers are a mouthful.

For the first example today:

"Not quite! Ahoy matey! We need a small fix! Use in search of instead of for when looking for something. Happy treasure hunting!"

Remove the title, and cut straight to the point:

"When looking for something, use in search of instead of for".

My brain is already in overdrive trying to figure out these grammatical puzzles. I don't want to have to parse another whole sentence to get the correct answer.

I believe it must have worked well for them, although I have no specific proof, because that billboard was there for a good 6 months at least and must have cost a fair bit of money given how prominent it was.

I absolutely love Rails. I'll always remember back in 2010 catching the train to Waterloo station in London and seeing a huge sign overlooking the train tracks that read something like "We Need Rails Developers".

Rails was such a huge part of my professional career.

Now, 13 years later and I'm deep in the JavaScript ecosystem and have been for 8 years.

The most exciting thing to come out of this ecosystem recently is RedwoodJS, because it takes a lot of inspiration from Rails.

upmostly··on A hundred UK companies sign up for four-day week with no loss of pay
There are likely several hundreds, if not thousands of companies already offering a 4-day work week or something similar.

For example, I work at a company called Forestreet (https://forestreet.com) and we already offer a 9-day fortnight.

The idea is that you condense your work week into 9 days, and take the 10th day off.

There are pros and cons to this model, but overall it's working very well.
