A thing to pay attention to in this trade war is how China, Canada, and Europe are trying very hard to only target red states. They know they have nothing to gain by putting pressure on California or Washington. Blue states are already anti-Trump so they are trying to focus the pain on Trumpland in hopes that they will in turn pressure their Republican congressmans.

You have a group of shoppers that are boycotting brands they feel have backtracked on positions they previously held and you have income inequality getting worse so people can't afford the things they used to. Companies will feel the squeeze on both sides of those things.

Red states are notoriously rank lowest in education, healthcare, and quality of life. So yes, if those are the policies they are unleashing on America then they are destroying America.

The simple answer is that they are corrupt and want to be authortarians with complete control and dumbing the population goes a long way to that goal. So is controlling the "truth"

This is exactly what is happening. I feel like people have to be deliberating ignoring all the evidence that Elon and Trump are foreign assets at this point. It has been obvious for years and only more obvious with time.

I'm curious how this will turn out because this administration is so comfortable lying, if we get data that says there is a connection between vaccines and autism, will the assumption be that the data was manipulated and if so that completely evaporates the US trust on the world stage in science. I don't see how that's good for anyone, even Elon.

It's not bizarre. What Elon and his group want is a "CEO for America" someone who has complete and total control and the ability to pass any law and fire anyone at any moment. Government itself is in the way of that goal.

Republicans are stupid for falling in line. Fascism needs enemies. They have all three branches of government and the Supreme court so the only place to turn is on each other.
