type0··on Finland detains ship and its crew after critical undersea cable damaged
No declarations of War has been needed for decades, internationally you only get disadvantages from doing that. Russia hasn't declared war to Ukraine, neither has Ukraine to Russia, so what.
type0··on Finland detains ship and its crew after critical undersea cable damaged
US annexing Greenland is just an excuse for US to leave NATO, Trump or Vance might do it if Putin attacks Europe, and he will when China attacks Taiwan.

That's why I think Putin won't use nukes but would just load chemical weapons on drones to attack European cities and blame it on some terrorist organization. Trump might even support him in claiming that Russia is innocent and NATO shouldn't be involved. They already tested it on Poland with empty drones and said Russia didn't send any drones.

For anyone who likes trains I can recommend The Train (1964), it's a fun little war movie with Burt Lancaster about French resistance in 1944

> Because even if something is a borderline scam, Apple probably gets their 30%.

Exactly this, the same reason why Facebook relies on scam ads for at least a third of their revenue.

> I think maybe you're trying to say "white" instead

Not sure what you are babbling about but, It's about ethnicity and not race. Plenty of third generation Turks still don't consider themselves German, then someone with black skin adopted as a child might consider themself German, it's about culture not race, we're not in last century anymore. Proportion of young people with immigrant background is high in many Westeuropean countries, if they don't integrate into society they won't be willing to defend it.

I wrote about Windows Home, they sure can divert the code further and lock it down completely. The same probably can't be done for Pro version unless they want to break Group Policy

Unfortunately identity theft is common these days, most people don't even know that they are victims of it.

type0··on Microsoft drops AI sales targets in half after salespeople miss their quotas
But is it sold enough to regular Windows Home users? If MS brings an ultimatum: "you need to buy AI services to use Windows", they might get a bunch more clueless subscribers. In the same way as there's no ability to set up Windows without internet connection and MS account they could make it mandatory to subscribe to Copilot.

I tried using different sd cards with RPi but kept having issues with broken filesystem few months after, it was probably caused by bad power supply and electric surges.

I have some relatives that assured me that they won't upload some embarrassingly drunken pictures of me to the cloud. Guess what they didn't, but One Drive was happy to share those anyway. Wouldn't even surprise me if Windows posted it to Linkedin with automatic face detection to help me find "new work places". And we can we be sure that agentic AI will solve those problems for me

> It feels mentally heavy

I mentioned to a friend recently that W11 is so difficult to use compared to Linux like Mint nowadays. He didn't understand it, though he tried Mint a decade ago but kept using Windows 10, upgraded to 11, continues to have driver problems with his laptop, some weeks network card stops working some weeks his sound card drops out completely. He uses usb dongles intermittently, it reminds me how I used on laptop Linux 20 something years ago and even then it wasn't that bad. I feel preaching Linux is almost counter-effective, but I'm tired of being asked to solve his hw problems caused by bad W11 drivers.

type0··on Microsoft confirms Windows 11 is about to change
PC manufacturers are bribed to use Windows, as always. Windows has a Soviet problem, it's like an Iron Curtain and most users will never thing of leaving it, if they do it's with kgb tourism agent called WSL. If Windows is a horse your certainly do not ride it, it rides you.
