tuankiet65··on Debian Packages That Need Lovin'
I used to believe that a properly configured Arch Linux setup is super stable, until one day when I upgraded the Linux kernel and there was multiple GPU hangs and graphics glitches. It's fixed upstream now, but it does make me think again about running close to the bleeding edge.

On the same line, I don't realize that my Bluetooth driver was broken until I checked dmesg. This one wasn't fixed upstream yet, but I don't need Bluetooth on my laptop anyway.

Yes and yes. Source: I run Zoom with i3.

I took a look at all of the shortcuts that Vimium offers, and beside the f/F to open the link, other shortcuts are already available natively in Chrome, like:

* arrow keys/PgUp/PgDn for scrolling

* Ctrl-PgUp/PgDn for switching tabs

* Home/End for top/bottom of page

* Ctrl-U for source

* Ctrl-L for switching to the omnibox

* etc

I guess some people might wince at the fact that they have to touch the arrow keys or Home/End/PgUp/PgDn, but my keyboard has those keys and I'm used to it.

Zeal is similar and cross-platform. I think Zeal takes its docs from Dash though.

It means there are Facebook pages/groups coordinating their followers to mass report posts or persons deemed "reactionary". These pages/groups mostly held pro-government viewpoints, although I can't comment on whether they have direct affiliation with the government or not. From what I've seen, many Facebook profiles gets locked after such campaigns. I assume a profile is automatically locked when the reports reach a certain threshold, and it can be very difficult to get it unlocked, since you need to contact Facebook directly.

From the article itself:

> Private groups filled with government partisans coordinate takedown campaigns — or worse — against any views deemed “reactionary” by the Vietnamese state, [...]

> The Intercept was able to gain access to one such closed-door Vietnamese censorship brigade, named “E47,” where it’s obvious, through Facebook’s apparent indifference, that the company has failed its users terribly.

Do you mind sharing your experience? My experience with Clion has been great so far, but I understand that Clion is somewhat opinionated on the project structure (for example, only CMake support), so it might not work well with existing projects.

Man, and I'm here thinking it's just my VSCode that's super slow and sluggish while editing C++ code. I switch to Clion and it's surprisingly more responsive than VSCode, given Clion is a whole IDE in itself.

The tabs are still there even if you miss the prompt. Either press Ctrl-Shift-T, or select the three dots => History and the tabs are there, under the "Recently closed" section. The caveat is that you have to restore the tabs before you've browsed enough pages that the tabs are pushed out of the recently closed tabs. Also, I simulate Chrome crashing by sending SIGSEGV signal to it, but I'm pretty sure this applies even if Chrome crashes for real.

If it's still the case then the Vietnamese curriculum (in middle and high school) still teaches Pascal using Turbo Pascal. They (the Ministry of Education) probably doesn't feel like modernizing it though because it's not widely taught, and from my own experience most students (and teachers!) neglect it anyway.

> It’s 1 and a half year [1] says that the STEM OPT extension is 24 months on top of the 12 month OPT.

> Only if your employer has already applied for your H1B. Doesn't seem like so to me, the requirements for the extension are (from [1]): >> Have a degree in an eligible STEM field from a Student and Exchange Visitor Program-certified school that is accredited when the student submits their STEM OPT extension application to USCIS. >> Pursue their STEM OPT extension through an employer that is enrolled in USCIS's E-Verify employment eligibility verification program. >> Select a STEM OPT employer that provides the student with formal training and learning objectives. Work a minimum of 20 hours per week per employer.
