totallynotcool··on Why we maintain desktop apps for OS X, Windows, and a web application
That's an issue as most webviews can ad a bit of js and support that feature. I'd email the dev a bug report.
totallynotcool··on Raspberry Pi Official Case
I am a huge fan of this[1] case. I like the single power input for powering the pi and a USB hub. I like the room inside the case for adding things; hhd, gpio pins. I just wish this design was more common... and cheaper.

totallynotcool··on Cyber attack on German parliament still active, could cost millions
You would think they'd have SIPR/NIPR networks in place.
totallynotcool··on Cyber attack on German parliament still active, could cost millions
Merkel takes her tweets seriously.
totallynotcool··on Peeple Is a Smart Peephole to Upgrade Your Door with Caller ID
I agree. A simple fix would be to keep the 'peep hole' and put the camera under it using refraction to separate the images... or 1 smart peep hole and one regular one would work too I guess.
totallynotcool··on Researchers reverse bacterial resistance to antibiotics
I dont think that I've ever seen the idea of silver being antimicrobial be neglected. We use burn dressings that are almost completely impregnated with silver, silver nitrate q-tips to stop bleeding(ouch), as well as topical ointments with some silver in it. Silver is pretty widely used in the medical field.
totallynotcool··on CVE-2015-3459 – Hospira Lifecare PCA Infusion Pump
I don't think we have any of our equipment in the OR networked other than commo devices; phones, video, et. al. I do know of some dental tools that use bluetooth to sync drills with a nurses cell so they can change the settings for the docs but 'hacking' that wouldn't lead to any unrecoverable harm... unless, of course, you could turn the drill on via blue tooth
