tokenizerrr··on Docker for Mac with Kubernetes
You don't, because you're running on your own hardware, and there is no concept of cloud disks. There are some solutions like Ceph, but they're tough to setup.

Usually I just pin containers to hosts. This is fine on a small setup. In fact, many of my small setups are just a single host.

I meant for the details to settle. But if you mean for non-vulnerable CPUs to come out, yeah...
tokenizerrr··on Docker for Mac with Kubernetes
You're running on GKE. Of course that's easy, they're handling all the difficult parts for you! It's still not that difficult running it on your own servers, but there are many more pain points.

Please get some experience with that, then re-evaluate whether Docker or Kubernetes is easier for small deployments.

Wait a few months if you can.
tokenizerrr··on Why I Still Use Vim
I used to love atom, but I started using it for Go recently and it crashes all the time. Every hour or so it crashes at least once, oftentimes more than once.
tokenizerrr··on Show HN: Themer – a CLI for generating themes for all your tools
Interesting, but a bit light on the terminal support. I've been using https://terminal.sexy/ which supports way more terminals. Notably, for me, Guake, XFCE Terminal, and for when I'm on Windows, PuTTY.

I was expecting to find this within the `themer-terminal` repo, but instead it's just some mac thing.

tokenizerrr··on Why TLS 1.3 isn't in browsers yet
Then every browser could be used to send spam. It would be horrible. Imagine that every person who visits a compromised page immediately started sending spam emails over smtp. Or spam irc messages.

You can go to your profile and enable 'showdead'. This lets you see shadowbanned posts.

If you get to that point, check out the Job DSL plugin.

Meh. The interface for viewing logs lags my browser.

tokenizerrr··on Long Island Iced Tea Soars 500% After Changing Its Name to Long Blockchain
This person is claiming that the NASDAQ listing proves that they've changed their name. Yet the link itself clearly says "Long Island Iced Tea Corp", not "Long Blockchain".

So, it would show it, because it shows the company name. And the company name is not "Long Blockchain", so the link proves nothing and the gp is full of shit.

tokenizerrr··on Long Island Iced Tea Soars 500% After Changing Its Name to Long Blockchain
Maybe I'm blind. Where does that page show their new name (other than the news ticker on the side)?

I'm not sure how Consul is doing nowadays, but when I used it about two years ago I've had nothing but issues.

How do I run it on Linux? And no, that subsystem is not Linux.
tokenizerrr··on Accessing Publicly Available Information on the Internet Is Not a Crime
Honestly that just means the website sucked and it went down because it sucked. Making it not suck is the solution, persecuting the people who stumbled into your suckiness is not.

Yeah, don't do that
tokenizerrr··on Looking Forward to 2018
For small deployments you're right. If you have a lot of subdomains coming and going you will hit the Lets Encrypt rate limits real fast. They're generous enough, but I've hit them quite a few times. For certain use cases a wildcard cert just makes way more sense.
tokenizerrr··on Don't Feed Them After Midnight: Reverse-Engineering the Furby Connect
Oh yeah, totally. BLE support on both android and iOS is lacking. Older versions of android, and I believe all versions of iOS (please correct me if I'm wrong) do not offer a programmatic way of supplying the pin for pairing. This means that when you programmatically connect to a BLE device from an app, the user will get a pin prompt. This prompt covers most of the screen so it really is a pain.

Though for the furby it shouldn't be too bad. Just display the pin on one of its eyes.

tokenizerrr··on Can the new Firefox Quantum regain its web browser market share?
Yes. The same as Chrome. As it should be. If they weren't in the UI, you could just extract them from the browser's data files or process memory. All that preventing access does is annoy users and give them a false sense of security.
tokenizerrr··on Don't Feed Them After Midnight: Reverse-Engineering the Furby Connect
BLE supports pairing and bonding. It is optional, by default every connection is unencrypted and unauthenticated.

tokenizerrr··on Firefox Private Browsing vs. Chrome Incognito: Which Is Faster?
Yeah, it's weird. Switched to Firefox Quantum as my main browser again, happened to use Plex and it was slightly laggy with huge cpu usage. Try it in chrome and it's smooth as always.

Did you even click the link? It's not hosted on Google's server and it looks great. Much less clutter than the non-AMP version, and loads faster as well of course.
tokenizerrr··on Infineon RSA Key Generation Issue
Not sure what you mean. The USB stick gets mounted as read-only on boot, so while technically you could write to it, this does not happen. The key never gets written to the USB stick, and is only kept in memory, sent to the wired printer as an QR code, and of course the Yubikey. I then wipe the USB just because, but there is no real point in doing so.

The largest vulnerability here would be the printer having some kind of memory, since BadUSB is a myth.

tokenizerrr··on Infineon RSA Key Generation Issue
It's an old laptop. Instead of throwing it in the trash, I kept it around.
