Recently moved a few sites to a single, 1GB droplet and am very, very happy with it. Also have been using a 512MB droplet for the last 3 months or so to run a tor relay. Their "one-click" installs are nice too, and WordPress runs really well on a 1GB droplet.

You're probably right, no administration would ever admit that, though.

Easy to say, but it'll never happen, especially in the US (at least not in my lifetime, hopefully my daughters). Too many jobs would be unnecessary if the "war on drugs" was over.

I've taken care to add unsubscribe links are at the end of every email that comes from vpsstat.us, even the "account created" emails.

Or you can login, click a button, and be done with emails (other than account-related notices).

I loathe that private email feeling that some startups try to create via mass emailing.

If you've got good PHP devs already, and they're most comfortable with it, just stick with PHP. Changing just for the sake of changing (all the hate on PHP) doesn't make a lot of sense.
