tinfoilman··on Help EFF test Privacy Badger, our new browser extension for privacy
I been using Firefox since v2. I have all the problems the parent does. I love the browser, send off my crash dumps (about 3 a week) I want the browser to be better and they are getting there.

The memory issues are bad, but only apparent with you have lots of tabs open for long periods of time. I can at times have over 50 pages open and it is around this time things start to crash. Why 50 pages at one time? Well that is how i use my browser. Also the fact that firefox still does not have its tabs on their own threads is frustrating for these crashes as it takes out all tabs, where as sometimes when chrome crashes you don't always lose everything.

Anyway FireFox is a great browser just wish they stopped following the chrome team around like lost puppies.

tinfoilman··on SimCity Offline Is Coming
EA, desperately trying to force life in to a product they did not understand and now attempting to recover the large part of their fan base they alienated.

Not going in to the rant, there were many around the time this PoS hit the market. All I can say is, as an avid sim city player, Sim city 4 had it. This new thing called Sim City, was more a city based sims level. I was just waiting for the "sim City delux edition where you could get +5 more houses, and some new cars"

Honestly I used to love sim City, but after spending £50 on sim city, it really is (and i said this before sim city) the last EA game i buy.

Lowcost home file storage,

HP Proliant Microserver (mine is N60L me thinkz) Can get cash back on it if you look around (sometimes 35% back) ECC memory 8gb max (recommended if going for ZFS) Western digital reds 3tb x 4 (reds have 3 year warrently and built for raid) ZFS in raid 2 i think. (one disk redundancy)

Total space is about 7.9tb

Running FreeNas from a usb inside the case.

it works, and cost wise it was cheap minus the drives.

Some nice recommendations tho for usage.

ORBOT / Tor Router Project / Hide-my-ip-address / Tor Project and the bootable OS Tails.

Some of the more advanced Obfuscation for the tor project

Skype Morph - Hides Tor traffic in Skype packets mmm fun and worth a look

Someone better be working on tor Obfuscation with flash packets, no one is going to block those things.

tinfoilman··on Multiplayer Game 'Eve Online' Cultivates a Most Devoted Following
These are just the latest breed of these types of people for eve.

My eve history is beta, and on and off for years. I have 2 chars, my baby she was born on release day just shy of 90milion now(yes yes i un-subbed for years at a time) and a secondary of 40 million who is the transport/mining hauling alt.

Now I was lucky, like really lucky. I found a group in beta, there was 10 of us, by release we were 8 but within 6 weeks we had our own BPOs and running a high sec manufacturing chain. We did alright but it was dull so we moved to Fountain, and were part of the group that originally found FA. Funny the original corp ended up being a front for BoB for years ran by the bob manufacturing team.

Anyway FA at the start, m0o invaded, FA defended as best we could, my corp got invited to merge with Evol (who never recruited) and so started what I like to think of as the first step towards bob.

The organizational involved to get BoB up and running and running for 3-4 years was massive. Never under estimate what molly and co were able to pull off. They were the first big alliance for me personally. Not that i am taking away from the people in this news bit, but i do think they are just redoing what we did originally in the day. The difference is they saw how we did it and done it better, we had to do it from scratch, and by doing so we made some amazing bonds and were the force for years. Also remember BoB did the BoB BBQ which is where they would rent a camp site somewhere in EU and everyone from BoB was invited, really bob was all about building a close team and i was sad when it got removed from the game like it did but meh a game is a game.

Anyway I is off, Eve is awesome but only play if you have time to play, it will eat years off you

Then they went deep underground and met some greys who killed all but hilter and then he became their king. All the while using the technology of the acients that was trapped under the ice in the pole from the orignal Arc, which is the last bit of technology from the race of people that lived on earch before the big flood 5000 years ago, which started the mayan creation story AND gave birth to Noans arc story.

I dont mind people saying i got lots of facts wrong, but hte only one you pointed out that the USA offered Asylum to the nazi rather than my statement of "stole", maybe that was not the right word to use. US just threattened them with POW camps if they did not do as told.

Dont get me wrong i will never know the truth but the Allies were chasing this technically because the nazi's started researching in to it.

tinfoilman··on US Air Force’s 1950s supersonic flying saucer declassified
Yes and the US air force stole the designs from the Nazi's after ww2. There are a number of images floating around that showed the nazi's were testing designs with Saucers, that being said it is only really the tin foil hat crew that would believe this crazyness.

yes yes some of these links are very questionable :/ But where the hell do you find information about hese things. Personally I have always had the option that there must be grains of truths in even the oddest conspiry theorys.

tl:dr = nazi's started hte reseach, before the end of WW2 they destoryed most of it to stop the allies getting it. Allies saw it, tried to replicate it and failed badly. The Real tinhatcrew believes that the nazi's that escaped took this research to russia, how has also experimented with saucers.

if i remember correctly the usa could only get them to hover about 12ft off the ground :/
