I didnt read any further.

throwawayqqq11··on US, UK, EU, Australia and more to meet to discuss critical minerals alliance
> One area of discussion will be calls for the US to guarantee a minimum price for critical minerals and rare earths

Why is a minimum price more important that a maximum one with guaranteed supply quotas?

And who trusts the US for that?

> “This is about trust. You sign a deal and you trust it will apply,” said an EU source. “This constant threat of more tariffs, whether 10% because of Greenland or 200% on champagne because they don’t sign up to the ‘board of peace’ has to stop.”

Yea. I guess its just theater to calm trump and to guarantee profit margins.

Nobody whos word is that worthless, is suited for any position of power. This is indefensible.

Then why do you know about obamas corruption and how bad it is?

You are just biased. Most right wingers go silent when pointed to their contradictions.

throwawayqqq11··on How ICE knows who Minneapolis protesters are
> I do question why diminishing profit rates are relevant though. Even if profits had generally been going up, wouldn't the desire for even more wealth lead to the same lobbying / looting pattern?

Yes, it would, because the expectations of growth/profit/ROI are baked into the system (eg. by interests rates ticking on everything) but in this case, not necessarily to the detriment of society. The profit drive is the root of the problem. Achieving these profits is the point of conflict.

In early capitalistic societies, economic growth is easier because of untapped resources but once the growth of the economic pie slows down, environmental exploitation becomes societal explotation. Previously the point of conflict was capitalists, externalizing cost onto nature (waste products, side effects), today, it is them externalizing operational cost onto the public. Marxs take is, as i understand it, that this profit margin is physically bound to shrink when the remaining space for cost externalization shrinks too, because free markets eventually propagate the lower product prices.

Obama also never 'joked' about a third term or diverted funds into private accounts or accepted a gifted 747 plane. How can one think that trumps corruption is just about the same level as others...
throwawayqqq11··on Surely the crash of the US economy has to be soon
We have so many problems. So many savaged construction sites that we knew for decades were important. The problem is not, where all this fiat money could go, there are plenty of places. The problem is, where it can go and make a profit. That was a hint to broaden your perspective.
throwawayqqq11··on How ICE knows who Minneapolis protesters are
As a leftist, i can tell you that any kind of unchecked capitalism or inequality threatens democracies and their constitutions in the long run.

The contradiction of private vs public interests surfaces when growth/ROI demands become harder to achieve. Marx predicted it as diminishing profit rates [0]. The decades of lowering taxes for rich individuals and corporations led to the present budget pressure on institutions, civic decay and agitated uninformed voters. This happens in all capitalistic democracies and we hear the same songs everywhere, about more austerity with a xenophobic background.

Iam sceptical whether china is more evil than the current and historic US. Both countries have commited atrocities but the US was way more involved "for their interests overseas". Maybe the western distrust towards china will make it a different power equilibrium.

throwawayqqq11··on 'Amelia': the AI-generated British schoolgirl, a far-right social media star
Yes, i needed that bullshit spelled out. When your mind is wrapped in identity politics, then "the left" is only about some imaginary enemy. Btw, an image of an enemy, that is conveyed by propaganda channels you should recognize. Disgust towards some ougroup and the elevation/pride of your own ingroup (aka. yourself) are the primary drivers how that propaganda manipulates you. Besides love, disgust can be the strongest emotion one can have towards other humans and when that one is dumb enough, it is futile to argue about complex realities, like crime statistics or socialization.

Unfortunately, i have to spell that out too. The left is primarily focused on wealth distribution! That is why i am so sure, you are the propaganda distorted mind here. If the game was really rigged by the left, we certainly wouldnt have the current oligarchy establishing fascism and using all tricks _of that game_ to convince the gullible masses that it is actually the have-nots at the bottom (not just migrants) who are to blame for societal problems. Populists make this their primary campaign message (for their donors) and dipshits make this their primary voting reason. With a little more education and less brainfuck, you would _know_ that most western countries actually need immigrarion!

Facing all this idiocy, i am slowly loosing hope. My very first comment to you was "where should the billions for all this come from?" and ofc you didnt engage with it. You talk about some rigged game (which is true) but fail to grasp the bigger picture.

throwawayqqq11··on We need to talk about Big Tech's role in Fascism [video]
Technology has two sides in the recent right shifts across countries. It increases the power gap to overcome in revolutions, which is why i think modern dictatorships are so stable, but it also provides realtime insight and records of the stupidity, detachment and insanity of elites and the gullible masses.

After nazi germany fell, many nazis were able to go into hiding, to flee or wait and eventually even regain positions of power. When the internet and personal computation doesnt get pruned, it will be harder for all those individuals to hide. Maybe thats a bad thing in all those dynamics. Maybe thats a psychological lock-in, which makes them hold on to their destructive way forward.

I believe, i cannot reason pathological dipshits out of ther idiocy. I do this for the silent, maybe tumbling bystanders. But thanks for the heads up.
throwawayqqq11··on 'Amelia': the AI-generated British schoolgirl, a far-right social media star
So by pointing out that an outsider of the game, the left, is not to blame for its outcome, i somehow made a point for that rigged game? I discouraged you with this?!

Please dont reply. You are dwelling deeper and deeper.

The actual problem is the _massive and intentional_ cognitive inability of critical thought.

throwawayqqq11··on 'Amelia': the AI-generated British schoolgirl, a far-right social media star

throwawayqqq11··on 'Amelia': the AI-generated British schoolgirl, a far-right social media star
Any suggestions where the billions for biased economic research, biased LLMs, skewed algorithms, selective ad revenue, massive botnet operations, campaign funding, corrupted influencal networks, media ownership -- and the most important part: a functioning education system to immunize people against propaganda so they can actually do ther own research against all odds -- should come from?

What would you suggest, when it turns out, that even with massive fact checking capabilities, lies just spread faster no mattet your factual accurracy?

Blaming the left for the current upheaval is a right prolaganda message too, so did my broadening reply work on you? No?

throwawayqqq11··on 'Amelia': the AI-generated British schoolgirl, a far-right social media star
I think its time for a distinction between (far) right and conservative.

To me, (far) right means being primarilly focused on some image of an enemy, nowadays conveyed by social media, and without a substancial constructive political vision. Disgust toward some outgroup and an illusion of former greatness as main drivers for political agitation.

IMO, conservatives can be similarly misguided by some bloated group identity but enlarge, its not their primary driver. Conservarism can find common ground with left leaning policies, whereas the far right cannot.

Add a "well integrated illegal immigrants should have a path to citizenship" and you would contradict your first comment about illegal immigrants being harmful. What legallity is, is not written is stone.
throwawayqqq11··on ICE Releases RFI for User Tracking Tools
No, you didnt. You basically said illigal immigration is bad because its illegal. You didnt include positive effects, like economic contribution. That positive conclusion about immigration is scientific consensus btw. Its easy to find if you dare to observe it.
throwawayqqq11··on Microsoft gave FBI set of BitLocker encryption keys to unlock suspects' laptops

throwawayqqq11··on Minnesota is under siege. This cannot stand
I asked you spefically, amd reminded you twice now, to morally justify deportations (without due process) simply by crossing the border illegaly -- or better, not having the paperwork. And then i predicted your silence. There is a substancial difference of "crimes" as basis for deportation between trump and previous admins, that alone is a good moral, not legal, justification to not cooperate as a sanctuary mayor.

I also ticked all the boxes of fascism (adimttedly, i left out the ignored judicative branch), to which you didnt respond too.

I dont get how your reading can be that selective. Well, i would strugle too if i had to defend trumps admin.

throwawayqqq11··on Minnesota is under siege. This cannot stand
I dint like these cherry picking conversations.
throwawayqqq11··on Minnesota is under siege. This cannot stand
> You don't think it's funny that the people now calling it fascism were ignoring the same thing under Obama?

Obamas ICE didnt sweep from door to door.

> this isn't fascism

Except a cleansed bureaucracy, a paralized legislative, and an "totally immune" unleashed executive. Did you get, trump talking about maybe canceling mid terms and invoking the insurection act?

You didnt answer my question about moral, as expected.

throwawayqqq11··on Why Greenland's natural resources are nearly impossible to mine
Maybe, people previously thought it was not worth it to mine in greenland and thats why there is no noticable mining operation. But what do i know about cost-ratio or thinking.
throwawayqqq11··on Minnesota is under siege. This cannot stand
Why are you complaining so much about the past?

The tragedies unfolding today could have been prevented, with a little human dignity. Speaking of "illegal immigrants" to justify destroying lifes that in some cases had been spent entirely in the US is just that, a cheap blanket to cover inhumane and racist motives. The strawmen you create with "why is no other country allowed to have a border" are as disgusting as your silence to the most pressing current issues. Trump had many options to tighten the grip on immigrants, but i guess this is beyond you aswell.

Please answer me this one. Why is the crime of comming here illegally enough for your kind and nothing else matters? Please argue on a moral basis. I expect the same silence.
