throwaway2027··on Claude Opus 4.6
Do they just have the version ready and wait for OpenAI to release theirs first or the other way around or?
throwaway2027··on We tasked Opus 4.6 using agent teams to build a C Compiler
I think it's funny how me and I assume many others tried to do the same thing and they probably saw it being a popular query or had the same idea.
throwaway2027··on LinkedIn will let you show off your vibe-coding chops with a certificate
We live in a simulation. I'm sure of it.
throwaway2027··on ChatGPT Containers can now run bash, pip/npm install packages and download files
That was already the case for a lot of things like is-even.
throwaway2027··on Ask HN: Is there any good open source model with reliable agentic capabilities?
CPU? Good luck.
throwaway2027··on Show HN: I quit coding years ago. AI brought me back
Twitter/X incentivizes you to get engagements because with a blue checkmark you get paid for it, so people shill aggressively, post idiotic comments on purpose trying to ragebait you. It's like LinkedIn in for entrepreneurs. Reddit or it's power hungry moderators (shadow)bans people often. The amount of popular websites that people can shill their trash is dwindling, so it gets worse here as a result I assume too.
throwaway2027··on Show HN: I quit coding years ago. AI brought me back
> Stack: Next.js, React, TailwindCSS, shadcn/ui, four languages (EN/DE/FR/JA). The AI picked most of this when I said "modern and clean."

I guess this is what separates some people. But I always explicitly tell it to use only HTML/JS/CSS without any libraries that I've vetted myself. Generating code allows you now not having to deal with it a lot more.

Cool to hear nonetheless. Can we now also stop stigmatizing AI generated music and art? Looking at you Steam disclosures.

throwaway2027··on Flux 2 Klein pure C inference
If I asked Claude to do the same can I also just put MIT license on it with my name? https://github.com/black-forest-labs/flux2 uses Apache License apparently. I know it doesn't matter that much and as long as it's permissive and openly available people don't care it's just pedantics but still.
throwaway2027··on Nvidia Reportedly Ends GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Production, RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB Next
Maybe game companies will be forced to optimize their games and focus on innovative gameplay elements rather than graphics.
throwaway2027··on Nvidia Reportedly Ends GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Production, RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB Next
Because it'll set a precedent and eventually kill off being able to own the hardware to run things locally anymore in the future.
throwaway2027··on Elevated error rates on Opus 4.5
So what's the best alternative to Opus today?
throwaway2027··on Why AI works better on existing codebases
More data, more patterns to infer from?
throwaway2027··on Games Workshop bans staff from using AI
Most of the code that was publicly available to be trained on is written by people in their spare time, not directly making any money off of it though. Personally I think if you are fine with AI used to generate code you should also be fine with it being used to generate art. That doesn't mean that I think that big companies just scraping the entire internet and training on large amount of portfolio pieces from ArtStation or people making open source projects is good either.
throwaway2027··on Show HN: DebtBomb – Make TODOs expire and automatically create Jira tickets
Not all TODOs are bad though, they may be a temporary turned permanent implementation that may be just as fine but the author may have wanted to do it properly or a bit nicer but which will never happen.
throwaway2027··on A Couple 3D AABB Tricks
struct aabb { float x_minmax[2]; float y_minmax[2]; float z_minmax[2]; };

Why not just do struct aabb { float mins[3]; float maxs[3]; };

throwaway2027··on Building a Rust-style static analyzer for C++ with AI
First impressions matter. I felt the same reading comments suggesting that people who praised GPT-5.2-Codex recently were shilling for OpenAI when it has actually gotten much better, faster and the most important one, more time before you reach your weekly limit.
throwaway2027··on Animated AI
I don't think these are useful at all. If you implement a simple network that approximates 1D functions like sin or learn how image blurring works with kernels and then move into ML/AI that gave me a much better understanding.
throwaway2027··on Your job is to deliver code you have proven to work
It works on my machine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
throwaway2027··on Germany votes to bring in voluntary military service programme for 18-year-olds
When push comes to shove, men and women aren't equal
throwaway2027··on AI Doesn't Kill Expertise – It Kills Mediocrity
I've been saying this to people all the time. Garbage in, garbage out.

throwaway2027··on Apex GPU: Run CUDA Apps on AMD GPUs Without Recompilation
Holy AI Slop
throwaway2027··on Universal Constants Derived from Pure Geometry
404. is this AI slop submitted? The account was just made too
throwaway2027··on Modern cars are spying on you. Here's what you can do about it
No. Enjoy the ride.
throwaway2027··on Claude Opus 4.5
I wonder if at this point they read what people use to benchmark with and specifically train it to do well at this task.
throwaway2027··on Claude Opus 4.5
Oh that's why there were only 2 usage bars.

throwaway2027··on Show HN: Tiny Diffusion – A character-level text diffusion model from scratch

throwaway2027··on Study finds memory decline surge in young people
Wouldn't it also have something to do with it being hard to judge quality in the quantity of information today?
