IME 20tb drives are easy to find.
I don't think the clouds have access to bigger drives or anything.
Similarly, we can buy 8x A100s, they're just fundamentally expensive whether you're a business or not.
There doesn't seem to be any "wall" up like there used to be with proprietary hardware.
As soon as you touch swarm you're essentially playing with a k8s competitor.
You might consider k8s over swarm for standardization and community support (CSI, CNI drivers, operators, etc.)
You just described all of humanity.
Anycast is the proper way to do this. No geolocation required, just dynamic routing protocols optimizing for shortest path.
It sure seems to be in a fierce competition with employees.
or do I detect a hint of SARCASM in your voice!?
Why wouldn't I just use graphviz then?
Edit: It seems to have almost 100% feature overlap with graphviz, but it is a paid SaaS? I don't get it...
Edit 2: This has to be a troll post. "Up to 3 graphs" for free --are you kidding me? I can run `dot` a million times in a second for free
Are there any good vertical autoscalers out there?
If we simply scaled the machine bigger and bigger (and then smaller) as needed, we'd avoid all the complexities of horizontal auto scaling. The limits of vertical scaling would be rather huge these days.
The simple edit/deploy loop of the blog post would remain 100% usable.
The bonus is that it'd work nicely with using sqlite as a datastore as well.
If so, the code/test/deploy loop is certainly much faster with this method than any serverless I've messed with.
likewise, especially as a profitable bootstrapped founder
it's like these people don't play by the same rules as the rest of us
Well, maybe that's exactly what should happen. Maybe rust should have never been allowed in the kernel in the first place.
It's caused a lot of trouble so far and for what? The dev community is fractured and infighting is rampant.
Maybe instead of looking down on him through your nose, try considering why so many people are feeling this way.
Have the incentives of the system changed? Are these people visible and valued in society? If not, why not.
Can you live without their labor supporting society?
