One more vote for http://www.safaribooksonline.com and http://www.pluralsight.com If you do check out pluralsight, take a look at http://www.lynda.com. It's also a video learning site but also allows you to download a project to work on along with the course you're taking.

theGREENsuit··on Ask HN: Travel opportunities for software developers?
Can you mention the job boards you used for your existing gig in Poland and the one you use for the potential German gig you mentioned? I'm in Canada, and have dual citizenship (Polish, Canadian) but find it tough to find local boards. Also, do you find that English is enough for opportunities without being able to speak the language native to wherever you look? I was always under the impression that along with English being able to speak the native language was a huge factor or even a requirement. Apparently I was wrong.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think the approach of building something, one piece at a time, is how I'll go with it. I just found it overwhelming to try to tackle too much all at once. After doing some more research and talking with a buddy that work in that area, I got my hands on Camel In Action, so I'll be starting there, adding other pieces as I go along. Thanks again :)
theGREENsuit··on Show HN: Reader YC, an open source Hackernews client for BlackBerry 10
Awesome, thanks for creating this. Having a BB10 usually means I'm SOL on apps, but this seems to take care of my HN need. I have to say it took me a few minutes to figure out how to read comments. I do a lot of lurking here and this is really handy to have. Thanks again.
theGREENsuit··on Ask HN: What are the three most significant things you have learnt till date?

There's a ton of frameworks, technologies, whatever out there. They pop up all the time. People are trying them out, simply to try to keep up with the technology, which isn't a bad thing. But, I agree that creating a couple of small projects with some new technology probably doesn't justify you listing it on your resume as a skill.
