"White power" is a call for supremacy. "Black power" is a call for equity and solidarity.
Conflating the two by saying that blocking both or allowing both would be "equality" is.. Mind you, I've only been awake for half an hour; but it's definitely the worst take I have read so far today.
Then I realized that the three volts that were supplied from a pair of AA batteries was really more of a suggestion. That summer, lots of gadgets I had became "USB powered"
Unfortunately facts don't care about our feelings, and no amount of sulking about it will change the fact that so called union neutrality is an anti-union position. Not only is it anti-union, but kind of a cowardly anti-unionism, at that. It's wanting to be both anti-union, while also wanting to accept none of the social consequences that come with that position.
I don't know if that really tracks, tho. You still have ethical obligations in your day-to-day business. As an extreme example; if your business is "I sell fentinyl laced heroin to elementary school children" isn't really something you can make up with any amount charitable giving.
But aside from that, I was making the self-interested argument that even complete sociopaths wouldn't necessarily want to work in an environment where "My coworkers can and will try to fuck me at the first opportunity" is a true statement.
Granted, that might be exactly what Amazon et al are selecting for; but at some point, a company being anti-union will be a signal to prospective high-level employees that many of your potential co-workers will be entirely self-interested assholes and you will have to decide if such a work environment is for you.
Such an incredibly strong, poignant piece of art; and so shocking after the goofy PM pigfucker episode
I feel a little uneasy reading them in public, though. The cover has, in big, bold beautiful letters "PoC || GTFO" which might lead someone who isn't familiar with the binary OR operator and the use of PoC as "Proof of Concept" to believe I hold opinions that I VERY much don't.
Isn't that just "radio"?
judges have some discretion when it comes to which end of the minimum/maximum end of the scale to sentence someone convicted of a particular crime, and using facts entered into evidence and never contested when exercising that is pretty standard.
It would have to be another player willing to invest a ton upfront, and continue burning ludicrous amounts of capital over many years before they could actually compete
Not to mention that you can still reproduce without a foreskin, but if you were just a disembodied but otherwise intact dick-and-balls; I doubt your reproductive chances would be particularly high. So from an evolutionary standpoint, I would still argue that it isn't the most important organ.
If I wanted to really push it, it's WAYYY down on the list. Like, the choice between losing my dick and one of my fingers; fine the finger goes. Between penis and the whole hand though? Sorry willy. Two fingers? Can stand to lose them. Three? Depends if it's the same hand. Any four fingers? Junk is back on the chopping block.
Gallbladder? Dunno what that even does, but my sister had hers out and she seems fine, so I think I would go with that. Pancreas? Yea, I would rather have a pancreas than a shlong
Lolwut? Look, I really enjoy my penis. Ol' penie and me have been through a lot together. But it's not even in my top five list of most important organs.
Like, gun to my head, I have to live the rest if my life without one of; dick, heart, liver, kidneys, brain, or dermis; I'm sorry but the choice is pretty obvious
The only possible explanation is that management never made it a priority.
I could see this happening. A project/product manager thinking "We could spend $unknown hours looking for potential speedups, or we could spend $known hours implementing new features directly tied to revenue"
Which is kind of ironic since this fix would keep players playing for more time, increasing the chances that they spend more money.
I am just saying that in security, while it can be very difficult to always find where the line between ethical and unethical conduct is; and what will get a company to pay attention to an issue without getting yourself arrested;
What I AM saying is that this person blew so far past that line that I wonder if they are even aware that one exists. All without even considering that, maybe, "that time last week when I committed wire fraud" probably isn't the best topic for a blog post.
Do I think that the author was acting maliciously or in bad faith? No. But the US justice system has a really nasty habit of not taking facts like these into account; as Aaron Swartz tragically learned.
Tl;dr "it's just a prank, bro" is not an effective legal defense, and prosecutors fucking LOVE convicting hackers.
And then a voice at the end saying "please drink responsibily"
