Personally I think it's a biggest mistake to use browser engine for a text editor. We already knew how slow and clunky the browsers are and thanks to vscode and atom our text editors are becoming the same. I would stick to sublime text and vim for as long as I could. /rant
Not related to the topic but how do you find ocaml as compared to python or rust? Do you think its worth learning today as opposed to rust for high level general purpose programming?
I wish rust could have taken a similar approach. I want to do rust development for general purposes as opposed to writing kernels and browser engines in it. I think swift or go are better targeted for these purposes, I wish swift scene on linux becomes viable in the next version.
Hi sorry for off topic question. But how do u feel about clojure ? I am a python developer and really interested in clojure. Do u think it's worthwhile learning ?
I have tried both (vsc and atom) and they both have significant typing lag. I want my text editor to be snappy , don't care about fancy features. Unless they plan to port this to c++ or something I am happy with sublime text.
Advice needed. If I don't have Java or .net background would you recommend f# or Scala? I heard Scala is much more complicated than f#. I only know scripting languages like python and ruby.
AFAIK F# is the first class VS citizen since VS 2010. They have a small yet good team working on it. What do you think is missing support in VS for f#?
