tchbnl··on Uber raises its minimum age for California drivers to 25
Never heard of Bolt, and looking them up, they're not even in the US. So I'd say Uber is very much still a thing.
tchbnl··on Ex-Linus Tech Tips employee alleges mistreatment and poor conditions
>and removes the problem people.

The problem people is Linus.

tchbnl··on Show HN: Applite – Clean Homebrew front end app for macOS built with SwiftUI
This being HN, I can't tell if this comment is a joke or not.
tchbnl··on Slack’s biggest redesign ever tries to tame the chaos of your workday
Yeah no. Slack is the communications hub at my company. I want to be able to see and quickly react to everything at once, not having to switch between different views. It was bad enough when they removed split views last month.

This looks like some misguided attempt to appeal to Discord users.

tchbnl··on On the link between Lyme disease and bioweapons (2019)
Although of the two, I think I'd prefer the jetpacks.
tchbnl··on Icanhazip: A simple IP address tool survived a deluge of users (2021)
This is very cool and something that'd be neat to roll into a toolset. But I think you're missing the point of izanhazip. It's meant to be quick and easily accessible regardless of where you are or what system you're on (assuming there's curl or similar installed).

I might not have permission or it wouldn't be reasonable to install something. And I can link it to customers or give them a simple command to run, and all it returns is the actual info I need from them.

tchbnl··on Amazon to force 'voluntary resignation' on workers who don't relocate
> It's Amazon's latest effort to encourage more in-person work.

I don't think that's the real reason behind it.

tchbnl··on Microsoft Owns the Trademark for “X”
I recommend checking under "Goods and Services" on that page. Some of those seem _just_ vague enough that Twitter could run afoul of them.
tchbnl··on Ask HN: Whatever happened to the “coming wave” of delivery drones?
"It's the FAA's fault" makes it sound like that's a bad thing. I think it's good that the FAA took time to create meaningful regulations and that somebody hasn't been able to just slap something together and be able to pass them.
tchbnl··on YouTube is testing a more aggressive approach against ad blockers
Can't blame Google for finally getting to the point of doing this. There's probably a lot of extra money left on the table because of ad blockers.

YouTube isn't a public service. You can either pay the $12/mo for Premium for no ads and other perks or watch ads to subsidize the site.

And you delete the games you don't buy, right?
