Cool, but too noisy.
taytus··on Ask HN: Technical cofounders, what's most important to you?
As someone who as been pitched a lot to be tech-cofounder this is what I was looking for:

1- Talking is easy. Show me what have you built. Business plan, market research, list of potential investors.

2- Long term vision. I've been always reluctant to work with people whose goals are 6-12 months.

3- If you are not a leader, know that.

taytus··on Our Approach to AI Safety
OpenAI's decision to transition from a non-profit to a for-profit organization can certainly raise concerns about their future actions and motives. It is impossible for me to trust anything they say.

taytus··on Facebook proven to negatively impact mental health
>But it does feel like I'm fighting the platform

I couldn't agree more.

taytus··on Facebook proven to negatively impact mental health
From all my digital addictions, FB is the one I have most under control.

I have to do a lot of blocking but the reality is that I can now say I do enjoy Facebook.

My timeline is filled with content I meticulously have curated:Woodworking, Baking, Canoeing, Startups, Beekeeping, Jeeps.

But... it shouldn't take all this work to enjoy it.

taytus··on Being swamped is normal and not impressive
I'm swamped. I agree it is not a badge of honor.

I'm running my own company, we are in the process of raising capital and between that and prod dev and sales... well, it is brutal.

I'm not proud of being swamped, but is a reality I have to live with as a founder.

taytus··on How Y Combinator Changed the World
I’ve applied not less than 7 times to YC. Rejected every time.

Some of our customers are multi billion dollar companies.

We are profitable, growing and got accepted by their direct competitor.

I still believe YC influence is amazing and I have nothing but respect for all the people involved in the program but I like to remind fellows entrepreneurs that any accelerator is just a tool.

If you want to build something, no amount of rejection will stop you.

Happy 2022!!
